Brad Baldwin, Owner of Stems

Stems is a premiere, wine, gift and necessities, one stop shop. Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Yakima at the Hilton Garden Inn, his business has become popular with tourists and locals alike.

Brad was born in Zillah, before moving to Yakima. He worked as the tasting room manager for Covey Run and later Silverlake wineries from 2001 to 2006. Over the years developed an excellent knowledge of the Yakima Valley AVA wines.

A wide variety of wines can be found at this one stop wine shop. Today he stocks wines from Washington and Oregon, especially from the Yakima Valley Appellation that goes from Naches Heights’ all the way down to wineries in Benton City. He also features Seattle area wineries that purchase their grapes from the Yakima Valley, such as the Ravenna District’s, “8 Bells”.

Several times a year Baldwin holds special wine tastings at Stems. He charges a small tasting fee that gives customers a chance to sample highly rated wines, before deciding which ones to purchase.

If you’re looking for something other than wine, Stems also carries a wide assortment of serving dishes for entertaining, along with cheese slicers, bottle openers, etc. Also available are gourmet crackers, the popular chocolate Chukar Cherries from Prosser, and a delicious assortment of high-end chocolates that pair beautifully with wine.

Stems also stocks Riedel wine glasses. Until you’ve tasted wine out of a Riedel glass, you haven’t lived!
